RCS Cropping Workshops

The outcome-driven content shares how to introduce alternative approaches into your existing cropping program. It will include:

  • Developing a systems-thinking approach to land and business management.
  • Soil microbiology – practices that give a healthy balance between physical, biological, and chemical elements. 
  • Key ecological health indicators – including carbon/humus, ecosystem services, soil health, biodiversity and water cycle. 
  • The 6 RCS Soil Health Principles – what they are and how to put them into practice. 
  • Economic challenges and management accounting processes.
  • Risk management for general cropping as well as regenerative cropping.
  • Pathway for crossing the “Valley of Death” from conventional to regen cropping 
  • The first steps you can take now on your farm.

Course Delivery

In Person

The face-to-face version of the Cropping Workshop is held over 2.5 days. The power-packed, hands-on content will give you practical skills to take home and implement confidently. They are facilitated by our experienced cropping advisors, who can share their farm management experience, with time for questions and answers.

Online

The online version of the Cropping Workshop runs weekly for 8 weeks. These 1-hour lessons are live, interactive webinars with professional RCS trainers and incorporate practical activities to apply what you learn at home. All lessons are recorded and made available to you within one business day.

The standard investment is $1,650 per person.

The Early Bird rate of $1,350 is available until one month before the start date of the Workshop.

All prices quoted above are in Australian dollars and include GST. 

For face-to-face Workshop, all morning teas, lunches and afternoon teas are included. Travel, accommodation and breakfast are additional and the responsibility of the participant.

Day 1: Begins at 8:15 a.m. and finishes at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Day 2: Begins at 8 a.m. and finishes at approximately 5:30 p.m.

This course consists of weekly, 1-hour lessons held on Thursdays over 8 weeks, from 12-1:00 pm AEST (QLD time).

If the lesson falls on a public holiday for the course presenter (primarily QLD and NSW public holidays), the lesson will move to the preceding Friday instead. All dates will be clearly communicated via email and available in the RCS Global Learning Hub from the beginning of the course to allow time for planning.
