Employment Status – Full Time

The role

This role involves taking a leadership position in the practical research, development and delivery of soil health advice for natural farming systems including regenerative agricultural educational programs to farmers across Australia.

You will provide extension services supporting different options to assist with implementing cost effective methods for farmers looking to make the transition from industrial to sustainable biological agriculture.  You will also conduct trials, research and investigation into options for accelerating soil health.  You will report directly to the General Manager and work closely with colleagues to present a seamless image for RCS clients.

Core Duties

  • Service delivery – deliver RCS services including consulting and education programs using the latest research and knowledge from around the world to deliver advanced soil health solutions for natural farming systems.
  • Business Development – actively develop trials in partnership with key industry partners to educate and support producers to increase production and performance of their systems.
  • Co-ordination –manage the delivery of assigned RCS projects for efficient delivery of client requirements
  • Organisational development – become an active member of a dynamic close knit team including head office and regional staff and contractors.
  • Marketing and promotion – Contribute to and deliver on the company marketing, media and promotions strategy in consultation with the GM and Marketing & Promotions Officer
  • Financial management – Deliver company products and services within budget.
  • Other – Conduct other support activities as required

Position Requirements



  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant agricultural, NRM or business management related discipline
  • Demonstrated advanced written and verbal communication skills

Skills and Experience


  • A sound knowledge of Soil health, plant nutrition and crop and pasture agronomy
  • Soil sampling methods, management and trials
  • Chemical and biological soil analysis methods and interpretation of results
  • Demonstrated ability to build long term successful business relationships
  • Ability to manage related financial budgets and reporting requirements
  • Demonstrated time and information management skills
  • High level word processing, report writing and spreadsheet capacity
  • An understanding of rural culture and industry
  • Established business and social networks in the agricultural industry


  • Biological farming experience would be highly desirable
  • Minimum of 5 years in a related consulting, project management or business development role
  • Soil management experience
  • Experience in developing and conducting field research trials
  • Pasture and cropping knowledge
  • Experience in organic, biodynamic and mixed species cover crops highly desirable

Package ranges from $50,000-85,000 depending on demonstrated skills of successful applicant.
