KIT Field days are an opportunity for like-minded people to gather on a property to discuss topics relevant to that region and see firsthand how RCS principles are being applied in similar land types and production systems. We encourage you to invite neighbours, staff, family and friends as everyone is welcome.
- Sowing multi-species cover crops and soil health benefits
- Grazing cover crops and cell grazing development under irrigation
- Water system strategies for hilly country
Craig and Zoe moved to ‘Namoi View’ in January 2021 after relocating from our small farm in Southern Qld, motivated by our vision to not rely on off-farm work to subsidise our farm and looking for the scale required to achieve this with our available capital. We purchased 400ha, ‘Namoi View’, and an additional 2800ha, ‘Llewellyn Park’ (15kms away) where we are presently running breeders and transferring the weaners to ‘Namoi View’ to grow out using irrigated and dryland forage crops. Our focus on ‘Namoi View’ is improving soil health using multi-species fodder crops and biological additions, and on ‘Llewellyn Park’, improving pasture utilisation/mob grazing by increasing paddocks and water availability and incorporating rangeland goats as an additional enterprise.
