Drought Mitigation Planning – Cranbrook, WA
June 29 - July 1
Learn the RCS Grazing Principles as well as principles of Drought Mitigation and make a plan on how to practically implement them at home. By mastering these principles, you’ll get the most out of your land, livestock and business. The workshop will take place in the first two days, followed by a 1 on 1 session at a given time on the following days where you’ll create a land management plan specific to your enterprise.
This workshop will help you and a small group of peers to convert knowledge into practical outcomes. Guided by an RCS advisor, the format encourages learning and discussion of practical implementation methods that address your current challenges whilst looking to the future.
By working in a small group of 15 local businesses, you will have more time to focus on your own farming business, referring to your own priorities to make a drought management plan which deals with:
✔ Soil Health and Moisture
✔ Water Management
✔ Grazing Management
✔ Ecosystem Services
✔ Goal Setting
✔ Tools to manage Climate Variation
✔ Mitigation and Recovery Strategies
