A new offering from RCS

We have all been there, coming home after our first GrazingforProfit® or Farming&GrazingforProfit® school with endless ideas after seven days of paradigm busting. But then you drive through the front gate, and reality hits you right in the face! How are we meant to make all the changes to become regenerative farmers? Or, all my neighbours think I am crazy, with my rotational grazing, single-wire electric fences that are not strained tight or even straight(!!) and having green grass in the middle of a dry period because of my grazing chart.

Well, we hear you! And have been working to develop a new offering called DistrictLink. We want to connect you with other producers in your area that are on a similar path to you. Some may be familiar faces, others you may have never met, but DistrictLink is all about networking with like-minded producers in your local area and working on the issues that matter to YOU! DistrictLinks are hosted on-farm for an eye-opening look at how others in your area are implementing the principles.

In June 2021, we successfully ran our first two DistrictLink groups. The great thing about this model is that now RCS has connected the group, they can self-organise, planning future dates and locations amongst themselves. But of course, RCS is always here to lend a hand if needed. The groups set the agenda on the day, with each business bringing the topics they want to cover. In addition, they benefited from a professional RCS facilitator who was there to keep the group on track and help draw out the knowledge in the room. Plus, they then had the opportunity to pick the facilitator’s brain on how to get the most out of RCS tools and templates. Each group is limited to six businesses to allow for an all-rounded discussion that focuses on each business’ needs. A similar format has been used in Argentina for 40 odd years, allowing producers to build each other up and inspire continued learning with those around them.
